Our mission is to train 350+ workers to help spread the Gospel of Jesus and to impact our community.

Shield of Faith Pasadena has been in existence since the early seventies by the late Pastor Arling M. Alexander. Today, it is pastured by Bishop Rickey Johnson.

Bishop Johnson has a M. Min and D. Min degree and he is an ordained minister under Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches International. He has been married to his one and only wife, Linda Johnson, going on twenty three years. His two oldest children graduated from college and his youngest daughter is currently attending college.

Rickey Johnson believes that his contribution to a successful family stems from the training he received from his father, a thirty-one year US Navy veteran, and a mother that instilled in him principles of integrity.

Pastor Johnson has written several books: Man to Man: Real Answers About Manhood, The DNA of Prosperous People, and Success Runs in the Bloodline.

He has had the honor of participating in many book signings around the country with such companies as: Borders Book Stores, Barnes and Noble, B. Dalton Book and The Readers Choice in Florida..

Bishop Johnson's ministry training began under the august leadership of our Presiding Bishop, Apostle Henry B. Alexander. 

As his father in the gospel, Apostle Alexander took Dr. Johnson under his wings and trained him for ten years before the Lord commissioned him to the Pasadena church.

At the Pomona church, Bishop Johnson served in virtually every ministry, including deacon board, men’s ministry, care group worker, Sunday school teacher, minister, staff worker, evangelism leader, armor bearer, and Assistant Pastor. 

Also, he served under the leadership of the late Bishop Robert W. McMurry as Evangelism Coordinator for District 10 and the California, Nevada, Hawaii District Council, which is the affiliate of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.

Shield of Faith Pasadena has a first-class leadership staff. As a team, we are dedicated to furthering our education and gathering each week to receive ministry training to better serve the body of Christ. We are committed to serve and not to be served (Matt 20:28).
